Indian cement producer Kesoram Industries has reported a loss of INR1160m (US$14.2m) in the year ended 31 March 2023 (FY22-23), down from INR1300m in the same period a year earlier. Kesoram Industries plans geographical expansion

India’s Kesoram Industries (Birla Group) has announced that it will look to increase the geographical spread of its cement business across India. Currently, the company has 7.5Mta of capacity focussed in the southern region. "We shall now explore high-margin markets in the country to improve bottom-line. Kesoram Industries, part of the BK Birla Group, is to establish a 3Mta cement plant in Solapur in the state of Maharashtra. “The Solapur cement plant is a two-stage project.
